Work experience

AMBOSS (Nov 2022 – current)

Software Engineer

→ Laying out the foundations for a new content management system to improve the daily workflows of inhouse medical editors and product teams

→ Cross-team collaboration with Design System to improve consistency and increase adoption

→ Cross-team collaboration with Developer Experience to remove deprecated libraries and patterns (like recompose and enzyme), increasing maintainability for frontend developers while allowing us to modernize our tooling and improve performance of the learning platform used daily by medical students and practitioners

Klarna (May 2022 – Oct 2022)

Engineer L2

→ Technical scoping, planning and leading the implementation of Klarna's B2B Portal redesign

Klarna (Oct 2020 – Apr 2022)

Engineer L1

→ Introduced frequent pair programming as a team practice

→ Led the frontend implementation of a feature to allow for a 4-eye review process of editing data in an internal tool, where one user can submit changes for another user to approve before they are applied to production. This has helped avoid incidents by allowing errors to be caught early. On the technical side, this project introduced React Context to the codebase as a way of simplifying state management and improving the product’s performance and maintainability

→ Further developed a passion for code quality and developer experience and actively look for opportunities to refactor, review and improve both the codebase and team’s processes

“I’ve never had a report who has challenged me so much, I’ve become a better manager because of the year I’ve spent being your competence lead.” – Former engineering manager @ Klarna

Evermood GmbH (Nov 2019 – Sep 2020)

Software Developer

At Evermood, I quickly went from bootcamp graduate to software developer by taking responsibility for the frontend development of an MVP universal mobile app using React Native, Expo and Typescript. I have learned more about object-oriented programming and the model-view-controller pattern while contributing to our main Ruby on Rails application. On top of that, I’ve had the chance to experiment with Next.js, GraphQL and testing frameworks like Jest, RSpec and Cypress.

Being part of such a small team, I’ve also had the opportunity to participate in product discussions and decisions, which helped me to constantly shape a stronger product-oriented user-focused mindset, as well as to support the hiring process by participating in the technical interviews.
